The final chapter of Hiromi Ichikawa's The Nito Exorcists (Nito no Joreishi) has arrived in print: Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump 15th issue published the series' concluding installment on Thursday, and the sixth — and final — tankōbon volume is scheduled to ship in May. Since its launch in October 2024, Ichikawa's occult action tale has slowly built a distinct identity among seinen readers, blending heartfelt revenge with high-energy exorcisms and a unique visual flair. Image via Amazon Quick summary: what The Nito Exorcists is about The Nito Exorcists tracks the missions of two mismatched exorcists—Gotsuji and Uruka—who hunt and cut down malevolent spirits at clients' requests. Their day-to-day work is driven by a deeper, personal objective: Gotsuji seeks a particular spirit he believes can be slain to honor and mourn a woman lost to those supernatural forces. Uruka, intrigued and sometimes bewildered by Gotsuji’s methods, follows him in this quest for re...

Trigun Stargaze's penultimate episode doubles down on emotion and atmosphere, but at the cost of narrative clarity. Episode 11 delivers heavy reveals about Knives' motivations, a heartbreaking fallout for supporting characters, and a handful of plot choices that will leave longtime fans divided. This review unpacks the episode's themes of abandonment, character dynamics, pacing issues, and what the episode's beats mean for the approaching finale. © 2026 Yasuhiro Nightow, SHONENGAHOSHA / TRIGUN STARGAZE Project Plot and Pacing: Vibes Over Coherence in Trigun Stargaze Episode 11 Episode 11 feels guided more by emotional momentum than by tightly wound plotting. The episode opens with another sudden save-and-capture flip involving Knives and Vash that again raises questions about dramatic intent: are these reversals purposeful misdirection or careless deus ex machina? Over the season Vash has been unusually passive, repeatedly captured, and used larg...

Tatsuki Fujimoto 17–26 is an ambitious anime anthology that animates eight one‑shot stories from the manga author’s teenage and early‑twenties years. Collected from two volumes of Fujimoto’s pre‑Chainsaw Man work, the series brings together seven directors and six studios to reimagine moments of alien invasion, awkward teen romance, surreal humor, and grim theatrics. Each episode stands alone, offering a compact window into the author’s creative development and the wild ideas that would later inform his more famous works. Tatsuki Fujimoto 17–26 adapts eight one‑shots from the author’s early career. Anthology Overview: Why Separate Episodes Work Rather than forcing a connective thread between disparate tales, the producers chose to keep the episodes self‑contained — a decision that pays off. With budget and creative latitude granted to each director and studio, the anthology preserves the tone and integrity of the original one‑shots while allowing for bold stylistic experimen...

After a promising first half of the Field Trip arc, episode 11 of You and I Are Polar Opposites delivers a mixed bag: it gives each pairing screen time and a handful of emotionally honest beats, but the overall romantic payoff feels undercooked. The episode leans into character moments and comedy — especially Nishi's internal turmoil and Hon's deadpan fury — but several potentially moving setups end up played for laughs or relegated to small, frustrating steps forward. © Kocha Agasawa/SHUEISHA, You and I Are Polar Opposites Committee Nishi and Yamada: Small Steps, Big Feelings Nishi remains the emotional center of this episode. Her reluctance to admit romantic intent — even after multiple prompts and a private meeting with Yamada — fuels the episode’s tension. The writers lean into her self-sabotage: she rationalizes planned meetups as casual hangouts, worries about taking Yamada away from friends, and hyper-focuses on his ease with other girls. Yamada...

Let's Go Karaoke! turns an absurd premise into a surprisingly warm and memorable short anime. With only five episodes, it leans on strong chemistry between its two leads, a playful yet offbeat sense of humor, and solid direction to deliver a music comedy that feels fresh—part buddy comedy, part coming-of-age drama, and entirely entertaining. Below we break down what makes this mini-series sing, where it stumbles, and why it’s worth a watch for fans of music-driven anime and oddball character pairings. Satomi and Kyoji: an unlikely duo on a bizarre musical mission. Episode 12 of Fate/strange Fake delivers heavy exposition while dramatically raising the stakes: our cast is trapped inside a Reality Marble, and Tsubaki’s Servant is revealed to be Death itself—the Pale Rider, Fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse. What begins as a seemingly idyllic paradise quickly shifts toward cosmic catastrophe, and the episode pivots into a tense moral dilemma: how do you stop an apocalypse born from a child’s wish without destroying the child herself? © 成田良悟・TYPE-MOON/FSFPC Episode 12 Recap: The Reality Marble Unravels The episode opens by clarifying the mechanics behind the current crisis: the characters are inside a Reality Marble that reflects Tsubaki’s dreamlike, comatose paradise. Because Tsubaki’s Servant is Death—a force of nature rather than a person—its personality has been shaped by Tsubaki’s longing for companionship. That “nurture” created a gentle setting, but Death’s innate “nature” still tends toward ending life. By being trick...
