Tite Kubo is the inspiration for the Japanese anime television series Bleach. The anime occasionally incorporates unique self-contained plots and characters that are not present in the manga series it is based on in addition to adapting the manga series on which it is based. The story centers on Ichigo Kurosaki's exploits after he gains the abilities of a Soul Reaper a death personification akin to the Grim Reaper from Rukia Kuchiki.
